Let's Play: Dungeons of Dredmor

A funny bidimensional RPG with some strange monsters and a bunch of useless items... This is Dungeons of Dredmor!

A hard choice!

This game works on Ubuntu with its native client and it is playable also with Desura, so you don't need to do any reasonable choice. To learn how to design and develop RPG games, check out game design degrees at online universities that can teach you how to make your own RPG using games development softwares that are easy to use.

Talking about performances...

First of all my hardware:

agp_aperture_size: 256
cpu: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor
cpu_ghz: 0.80
distro: Ubuntu 11.10 oneiric
kernel: 3.0.0-16-generic
machine_bitness: 64
memory: 3960
soundcard: HDA ATI SB at 0xfbcf4000 irq 16
soundcard_driver: ALSA Version 1.0.24
videocard_direct: True
videocard_driver_version: 4.2.0 NVIDIA 295.20
videocard_manufacturer: NVIDIA Corporation
videocard_ram: 1024
videocard_type: GeForce GTX 550 Ti/PCIe/SSE2
x_version: X.Org X Server 1.10.4

Sadly, this time i couldn't do any comparison. I didn't find any way to show FPS, but i assure you that the game doesn't need any powerful system, and the video will show you how good it works on Ubuntu!

Conclusion: the game runs GREAT on Ubuntu.

Installation:

Important: i got this game with a Humble Bundle, but i found out that the .deb package doesn't work with my 64bit system. It needs the 1.0.9 REV B patch, which i think it's available only on Desura. So, if you got that Humble Bundle (the Introversion one), be sure to redeem the game on Desura!!
The process takes about 5 minutes (including download time).

Running:
